Still reading ever so slowly, Music of Silence, I learn that Prime, the third hour of the day in a monastary, begins with the giving out and distributing of work.
Listening to chant this morning, the words of David Steindl Rast come to me much like a prayer.
I had dinner last week with my two grandsons and their father.
I have loved books all of my life—reading them, re-reading them, buying them, smelling them, looking at them.
It’s going to be another busy day today—visits to two host hospitals, playing for patients, teaching, four hours coming and going. Even so, I’m taking this moment to breathe in and out as I clear my head and jot down a few notes.
I, for one, am not disappointed over Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction that we’re in for six more weeks of winter.
