A Grand Night for Singing
What a concert in the park last night! The Mormon Tabernacle Choir swooped into Philadelphia and rocked the Mann Music Center with everything from Dvorak to “Rock a My Soul ,” to “Sunrise, Sunset,” to “76 Trombones,” concluding with the song that won them a Grammy— the rousing, “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Oh, how they sang! Volunteers all, by the way. Very nearly made me want to move to Salt Lake.
“A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.” –Chinese Proverb
“He who sings frightens away his ills.” –Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote
“As long as we live, there is never enough singing.—Martin Luther
Enjoy your day—and be sure to sing your song—at least twice!
