A New Way
I’ve been following a modified vegan diet for a week now—modified by my eating fish every so often. Unlike a vegetarian diet, eating a vegan diet means that you don’t eat dairy products—no eggs, no milk, no cheese—foods I’ve always adored. But here’s the thing—throughout this whole week, I haven’t missed them one whit. Even more surprising is that I haven’t been craving or even desiring sweets, nor am I wanting to eat between meals.
And talking about my meals, they have been delicious—last night I had General Tso tofu. Lunch was a multi-grain rice avocado-cucumber sushi roll. This morning’s breakfast will be whole grain cereal with fresh raspberries and blueberries in a small amount of apricot juice. Pretty healthy stuff. Will I lose weight? We’ll see. In the meantime though, I’m having a really good time.
