A Tough Assignment
A course of study I’m engaged in has asked that I journal about shame—my shame. The fact that I’m having some difficulty with the exercise is probably indicative of how well I’ve walled myself off from acknowledging that feeling. It may take me all day to work on this, but I have the distinct feeling that this just may be one of the most important assignments I’ve been given in a very long time.
I used to look in the mirror and feel shame, I look in the mirror now and I absolutely love myself. .”—Drew Barrymore
“Once we realize that imperfect understanding is the human condition there is no shame in being wrong, only in failing to correct our mistakes.” –George Soros
“Tell the truth and shame the devil.” Francois Rabelais

Edie, thank you. I will face shame in the face and be thankful to realize what it is. Others put me to shame, and then I woke up!
Enjoy the Thankgiving Holiday.
Blessings to you.
