Being Happy
A blizzard is predicted by noon in these parts, but on my mind this morning is happiness—not that now-I-feel-it; now-I-don’t variety, but rather, an unshakable feeling of gratitude for whatever comes my way.
I didn’t always feel this way. I remember days when I wondered what life was all about and more to the point, why mine seemed so full of challenge.
Turns out those were the very days that taught me the most about happiness. And those that prepared me the best for the rest of my life.
“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” — Frederick Keonig
“Happiness always looks small while you hold it in your hands, but let it go, and you learn at once how big and precious it is.” — Maxim Gorky, Russian Novelist and Playwright, 1868-1936
“But what is happiness except the simple harmony between a man and the life he leads?” — Albert Camus
May you see the wonder and joy and lessons in every moment of your day today.
Enjoy your day!

Thank you and appreciation and happiness go hand in hand…as I appreciate a day at home and I am happy for this special time to do what I want; paint, sing, dance and clean up the house!
