Bring on the Crocuses…please?
No profound thoughts today—just feeling mighty thankful that we got through yesterday’s storm. Never mind that our lives were interrupted and schedules had to be changed. We’re alive and well and praying that Winter has now had its way with us and will allow the crocuses their day in the sun.
“Welcome, wild harbinger of spring!
To this small nook of earth;
Feeling and fancy fondly cling
Round thoughts which owe their birth
To thee, and to the humble spot
Where chance has fixed thy lowly lot.”
— Bernard Barton, To a Crocus” If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. “ — Audra Foveo
Come, come, sweet spring—o how we desire your bouquets and warm breezes.
Enjoy your day!
