Celebrate!
A news item came on the local channel this morning reminding listeners to toss the tree and pack away the rest of the holiday decorations. I know I need to do that, but it makes me kind of sad.
My thoughts drift back over the years when the children were young. Back then, we celebrated everything in a big way—Valentine’s Day, Saint Patty’s Day, April Fool’s Day—and all the rest and more. On top of those of course, were all the birthday surprises and parties. A month didn’t go by that we didn’t make a big deal over being alive.
These days we still celebrate birthdays—with our grandchildren and children-in-laws, there are, happily, even more of them throughout the year. But why haven’t we strung up the hearts in February, the shamrocks in March and kicked up our heels for all the other special days?
As I carefully wrap up and put away the menorahs, Santas and Christmas bells and balls, I resolve to celebrate as many days as possible this year.
“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” — Oprah Winfrey
“...Make every day a holiday and celebrate just living!.” — Amanda Bradley
May today be the first of many days you choose to celebrate this year!
Enjoy your day.

Yes, indeed, there is much to celebrate in each and every day. Today, especially, I join with you in celebrating BSH, and your blog; congratulations!
Blessings,
Lynda
