Courage
“What is courage? reads a bulletin board in a psych unit I play in. Large cards below the question offer some ideas:“Courage is doing something that is difficult,” “Courage is taking risks,” “Courage is getting past your fear.” This morning I’m thinking that courage is something you don’t know you have until you’re called upon to use it.
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” –Winston Churchill
“ Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow. “ –Mary Anne Radmacher
“Courage is fear that has said its prayers.” —Dorothy Bernard
