Feeling the Love
A patient stopped me in my tracks when she asked what my favorite song was. It took me a few minutes to consider. For countless years it was, “Over the Rainbow,” hands down. But these days, as I walk through the halls of hospitals, clinics and hospices, my favorite has become, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” both for the music and for the message. When I named the song, her eyes became misty. “How perfect,” she said. It’s true…when you play your little harp, I sure can feel the love.”
” “The more I think it over, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.” –Vincent Van Gogh

Edie, thank you for this post. I as well love the song “Can You Feel The Love” - it is one of the first songs I learned to play, when I began my certification modules with you. It is a song I play so often! People of all ages enjoy it! And it does have a wonderful message! Blessings and peace, Jane
