Graduation
It’s graduation time again. Time to walk the newest conferees down the aisle to pick up their stoles and certificates and roses and head out into the world to serve thousands of patients in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, wellness centers, and doctors’ and dentists’ offices. They are my chicks—I remember well when each first came to the program—not sure of what they were getting themselves into, not sure that they could play well enough, satisfy the requirements, make a difference. But they all have accomplished all of that and far more. If you notice a tear in my eye as I look over at them on Sunday, it’s because of how privileged I feel to know and to have worked with them. My chicks—each of them a true blessing.
“Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that, you’ll make a difference.” –Arie Pencovici
“You are educated. Your certification is in your degree. You may think of it as the ticket to the good life. Let me ask you to think of an alternative. Think of it as your ticket to change the world.” –Tom Brokaw
“I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.” –Author Unknown
Enjoy your day!
