Hope
Haiti is on my mind every day, and most especially in the morning. Climbing out of a warm bed, fixing myself a hot cup of coffee in a treasured mug, taking a shower with my favorite soaps, all used to be acts I pretty much took for granted. Not since the earthquake.
Then I learned of the 5 year old boy rescued yesterday, a week after the disaster. Hope—even the tiniest glimmer of it—helps heal even the deepest wounds.
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Hope is always available to us. When we feel defeated, we need only take a deep breath and say, “Yes,” and hope will reappear.” — Monroe Forester
“Hope’s the thing with feathers — That perches in the soul- — And sings the tune without the words — And never stops — at all.” — Emily Dickenson
May hope lighten your heart and your path today!
