Making Memories
I’m thinking this morning about the difference I made yesterday with my little harp and voice in the home of an elderly lady. For much of the afternoon I played and the two of us sang tunes from the 30s, 40s and 50s . What a team we made, singing and laughing! Between songs she shared wonderful stories of days gone by. A couple of times she teared up and admittedly, so did I.
It was a truly wonderful day for both my mother and me.
” I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love. — Mother Teresa
”Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” — William James, American psychologist and philosopher; brother of Henry James, author.
” My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. “ — Graycie Harmon, American poet.
May you enjoy your sweetest memories of your mother today.
Enjoy your day!

WOW, did you ever hit my heart strings. If my mother and dad were living, I would play for them. My dad would love to sing with me. So, I play for older folks at my work place…they are precious people like mom and dad.
