Memories of Scotland
This morning’s fog, like a fuzzy blanket thrown over the trees and grass, takes me back to Scotland. Early June in the Highlands—every dawn wrapped in a misty veil lifted only by the noon sun. I return to the bed and breakfast run by a jolly couple who regaled us with local lore served up with the heartiest of breakfasts. Fresh salmon dinners, charming pubs, green, green grass, lambs romping in the hills, a wedding in a nearby castle. Three delightful days, two magical nights forever in my mind.
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” –St. Augustine
“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” –Samuel Johnson
“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” –Henry Miller
Enjoy your day!

On our way to work, we listen to audio’s,one of our favorites is the series by the author M C Beaton. So entertaining. The main character is Hamish Macbeth who is a Highland Police Constable. Usually the title starts The Death of but don’t let that scare you. They are hilarious, and light. Someday we want to go to Scotland.
