More Snow
The weather reports are alarming—more snow. A lot more. And ice and blustery winds.
Only last week I was waxing poetic about another six weeks of winter. I must have been out of my mind!
Batten down the hatches. Stock up the pantry. Pull out the emergency candles. Repeat after me—Spring, Spring, Spring, Spring. Spring. And again, Spring….
“Bad weather always looks worse through a window.” — Author Unknown
“There are three reasons for becoming a writer: the first is that you need the money; the second that you have something to say that you think the world should know; the third is that you can’t think what to do with the long winter evenings.— Quentin Crisp, English Author, 1908-1999
“To shorten winter, borrow some money due in spring.” — W.J. Vogel
Button up your overcoat,
When the wind is free,
Oh take good care of yourself,
You belong to me.

I have one for you:
“The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball.”
Doug Larson
Did you see the huge snowball fight in downtown Washington, D.C.? Hundreds of participants of all ages!
Stay warm, Edie!
