My Forever Things To Do List
During dinner with my 93 year old mother last Saturday, she spoke of her day. “It took me the whole day to go through my drawers and get rid of all the stuff I haven’t used in a year.” I listened with rapt attention. This is a woman who downsized from a large home to a two-bedroom apartment seven years ago. Her place is and always has been neat as a pin—both on the surface and in all the closets and drawers. And still, she’s throwing stuff out.
Made me realize that decluttering, as breathing, has to be regular and that we need to do it as long as we’re on this planet!
