My Life
The weather outside is frightful…the sky is gray and begins to rumble, heavy rains and winds are on the way. It would be a great day to stay in pajamas, catch up on calls, read and practice. Instead, I’ll jump into my van, drive a couple of hours to one of our host hospitals, teach a couple of students, play for patients, and then make my way home in time for a late dinner. Rain now starts to pound against my windows. I am undaunted, for I’m off to live the life and do the work I was meant to.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” — Howard Thurman
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” — Abraham Lincoln
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep. — Robert Frost
May you put life into every moment of your day today!
Enjoy your day.
