My New Year’s Promise
No resolutions for me this year, but rather, a promise. I will work on opening my heart—practice more lovingkindness, forgiveness, compassion and gratitude every day of these coming twelve months. New is my pledge to offer these graces not only to others, but to myself as well. It is sure to be a most interesting 365 days.
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” –e.e. cummings
“You were born an original. Don’t die a copy.” –John Mason
“Rabbi Zusya said that on the Day of Judgment, God would ask him, not why he had not been Moses, but why he had not been Zusya.” –Walter Kaufmann
Enjoy your day! A happy, healthy, harmonious New Year to all.
