Shayna
My dear cat Shayna, who, for the past 15 years was first to greet me every morn, no matter how early I arose, passed away yesterday. For months I sensed she was in pain, but the vet kept telling us that her howling was just a behavioral thing. Turned out, she was indeed in pain—great pain. An oversized tumor had taken over her belly. And so that final, awful decision had to be made quickly—without goodbyes, without any last kisses or even a last touch from me.
Neither my mornings, nor for that matter, my days and evenings, will ever be the same.

Dear Edie,
As a fellow cat lover, I feel your great pain. In God’s grace, the sadness you feel will diminish and you will be left with wonderful memories of a special friendship that He blessed you with.
My prayers are with you today,
Jan
