The Difference of a Day
Twenty-four hours ago I was doing my best to adjust to my mother’s sudden decline. I should have known better.
Jaws dropped as the staff and I watched her get out of the wheelchair, take hold of her walker and stroll down the hallway yesterday. The nurse holding on to her had to ask her to slow down. She informed everyone she intends to go home today—she’s had quite enough of the hospital. And by gum, the plan this morning is that she is going home—not to a rehab.
Sure hope I’ve got some of that stuff….
“Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.”—William Barclay
”Endurance is patience concentrated.”—Thomas Carlyle
”Spirit has fifty times the strength and staying-power of brawn and muscle.”—Mark Twain
Figure out what you want, then, with little ado, make it happen.
Enjoy your day!
