The Power of Love
Yesterday was one of those days when I did not have a moment to sit down, reflect and write. Even so, it was a most beautiful day.
Once a month I play at a very busy cancer center. Those in charge have me play an hour in the waiting room and another hour in the infusion rooms. There must have been 60 or more patients and support people awaiting treatment yesterday when I arrived. Fear and anxiety and sadness hung heavy in the air. Staff scurried about. I took a breath and began to play, sending out love with every note. Within minutes the atmosphere cleared—people were smiling and even humming along. Shoulders relaxed, people took deep, cleansing breaths, staff slowed down and now glided from room to room.
I’ve played over 2,500 hours of healing harp and still get goosebumps over the healing power of love.
“It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.”— Mother Teresa
“The success of love is in the loving—it is not in the result of loving. Of course, it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.” — Mother Teresa
May you feel the love in both the doing and the giving all day today.
Enjoy your day!

That brought tears to my eyes, and encouraged me at the same time. I needed to read this. Thank you
