The Power of Words
O, the power of words! A quote by Picasso just took my breath away. He said, “When I was a child, my mother said to me, “If you become a soldier, then you will become a general. If you become a monk, then you will end up as Pope.” Instead, I became a painter, and wound up as Picasso.”
Makes me wonder, whom might I inspire, empower and bless today with my words?
“If someone were to pay you 10 cents for every kind word you ever spoke and collect from you 5 cents for every unkind word, would you be rich or poor?” –Unknown
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”—William Penn (1644-1718) Philanthropist and founder of Colony of Pennsylvania
““Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and help them to become what they are capable of being.” –Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832 ) German poet and composer

How true the power of words are. As I’ve grown older I have learned to talk to people when they say something that hurts me deeply as otherwise I internalize it. I have found most people sincerely did not mean what they said or how they said it or perhaps I took it in the wrong context. The point is those words stung. I have tried to live as to be kind with my words,as to say more 10 cents words.
My prayer today is that we ALL say more 10 cent words.
