The Seasons
It’s hard to believe that summer is nearly over, but I must admit that I am looking forward to fall. The two in-between seasons, spring and autumn, are, for sure, my favorite—spring for the return of the birds, foliage and flowers; autumn for its crisp air, bon fires, crunchy leaves, cool rainy days.
Spring and Fall: the awakening and the yawn before the long winter’s nap.
“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.” –Stanley Horowitz
“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace/ As I have seen in one autumnal face.” –John Donne
“Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.” –Elizabeth Lawrence
Enjoy your day!

The in-between seasons are so beautiful! And the fall colors are my colors (I learned this years ago, when I participated in a “Color Me Beautiful” evening with friends - I have a very funny story to share with you about that night, Edie - I’ll tell you about next time I see you). However, Summer is my most favorite season - I love the different “vacation schedule” summer brings, along with the feeling of being warm in summer, since I am always cold, once it gets below 85 degrees. Good bye, Summer!!! Enjoy the beauty of this weekend, Edie! Blessings and love, Jane
