Wishing for Summer
Despite what I wrote a few weeks ago, I’m really tired of winter. I want the snow to go away. I long to feel warm breezes. Where are those first buds? I want to take unhurried walks and feel the sun on my body. Oh, and I want the leaves back on the trees too.
Maybe I should just plan a trip to Florida….
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” — Albert Camus (1913-1960) French author, philosopher and journalist
”There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.” — Celia Thaxter (1835-1894) American poet and author
”In summer, the song sings itself. “ — William Carlos Williams, American poet (1883-1963) American poet
Think summer today. Perhaps if all of us do that, it’ll arrive all the sooner.
Enjoy your day!
