Dogs and Harps, Oh My!
May 2009. Husband came to the door and his face lit up as he saw the harp. “We heard that this program was in the hospital.” Fiftyish female patient lying in bed, said, ” I learned about therapy dogs, now I learn about the harps!” I played familiar tunes. She named each song and looked up delighted with each. I kept on playing, finally switching to a noodle while the husband asked some questions about the harp. As I left, patient commented, “I never knew you could have a wonderful day in the hospital!”
