Areas to be highlighted are: Boundaries, Dynamics of Effective Communication, Dual Relationships, and Business Ethics. This course is open to all artists who work in the healthcare arena and required for Bedside Harp’s harp therapists working toward their first level of certification. Bucks County Community College Course # WSMCE 4020-C30, 13 weeks, September 2011.
Module V: Internship
Students will begin their internships immediately following the presentation of Module I, playing first in common areas in our host hospitals, and then, after Module III, in patient rooms in our host hospitals which we see as our incubators. At these hospitals, students will receive the benefit of hands-on supervision, mentorship, support and training by our Mastery level graduates. If 80% of their internships are completed at any one of our host hospitals, graduates will receive the designation of Hospital-Certified. If 50% of their internships are completed at any one of our host hospitals, graduates will receive the designation of Hospital-Intensive. Hospital-Certified and Hospital-Intensive designations are co-conferred by the host hospital and Bedside Harp. If less than 50% of their internships are completed at our host hospital, students will graduate with the certification of Certified Harp Therapist or Certified Master of Harp Therapy conferred by Bedside Harp.
