Feeling Better – and I’m Not Even Sick!

The patient and her visitor, who was her brother, were delighted when they saw me approaching with the harp. As they listened to the harp music, the patient’s brother was naming the tunes and softly sang along with some as I played them. The patient explained that he played many instruments. She also said, “You don’t know how much you are making me feel better, and I have been feeling terrible all week!” She continued, “I took one look at you and heard that beautiful music and said ‘She is blessed. She is an angel.’” Her brother added with a laugh, “I feel better and I’m not even sick!” The patient then remarked, “It’s helping me to relax.” They asked many questions about the harp and when the session ended, they thanked me warmly.
