As I was walking down the hall, I passed a room which had five visitors in it. They all took a synchronized “double take” as I came to the door, and they were all amazed at the harp. They requested that I play some Irish songs. At first I thought the patient was unresponsive, but as I began to play, the visitors began to sing along. Soon, the patient joined in as well, and by the time I finished everyone was singing and clapping, including the patient! They all enjoyed the music very much. As I left, I heard one of the visitors say to another, “What a wonderful surprise!”
