This patient was lying in bed, and she told me that she recognized me from a previous visit.  She said that I had played “Ave Maria” for her, and so I played it for her again.  She seemed very moved and she said, “There are no words for this music!”  She told me that she’d wanted to learn to play the harp herself after hearing the harp on her prior hospital stay.  She said, “Why should being in the hospital make me want to get off my duff?”
