Rainbows

When I approached this room, I saw the female visitor was sitting at the side of the bed, and the patient was sleeping soundly with her head on the visitor’s shoulder.  The patient was wrapped in a very colorful fleece blanket.  The visitor turned when she heard me then she stood up and waved for me to come in.  The visitor had a German accent and just loved the music!  She sang all of the songs to the patient and hugged her and stroked her head as she sang.  The patient did not respond until I played “Over the Rainbow,” then just for a second or two, she opened her eyes and sang several notes then closed her eyes again and seemed to go back to sleep.
