The patient was lying in bed and motioned me in when she saw me in the doorway. She said, “I couldn’t figure out where that music was coming from. It’s really heavenly.” She closed her eyes and laid back, and she closed her eyes and hummed as I played some hymns. She said, “This is making me very happy. This is the happiest I’ve been since I’ve come here. Thank you so much.” She began talking about her own art work, her life as a painter, and her desire to get back to her work. As I left, she said, “You’ve reminded me how much I miss my painting. I almost forgot that lying in this bed. I need to try even harder to get better.”
