I was playing “Greensleeves,” when two young women walked by and one said, “That’s what I’ll remember.” I noticed both were crying. I asked if the music had troubled them. She said, “No. I want to hear it,” as they walked back toward me. The same young woman said, “Our father just died.” As I played, I offered my condolences. As I finished “Greensleeves,” I started to play “Amazing Grace.” The two sisters hugged in the middle of the hallway, and then went off with their arms around each other.
