Our harp circles have, since 2002, always been a popular Bedside Harp offering, but when we began offering them virtually through Zoom in 2020, they become even more popular. Now they available to harpists not only in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but to harpists from all over the world!
Since 2020, Norine Stewart, master harp therapist and certified Bedside Harp teacher, has been teaching each 10 week semester live on Tuesdays, from 3-4pm ET. Each week’s session is recorded, so even if students can’t attend one or all of the sessions, they can practice with the recordings which everyone receives weekly.
Whether you play with one finger or all eight, you will thoroughly enjoy our harp circle. We have three rounds each year: Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer. Our circle has traditionally performed live at the Somerset Folk Harp Festival in July. Amazing to all of us is that even though we’ve not practiced together as a group (each week only Norine is heard playing; everyone else is on mute), in some magical way, we wind up sounding great when we play together live!
- Increase your repertoire (we focus on learning 20 tunes every 10-week semester)
- Hear and learn new left hand and right hand patterns and ideas for fingering
- Play tunes from every genre
- Play with a beat
- Become part of a supportive, caring community

Our Winter session begins in January; Spring/Summer session begins in April, and our Fall session begins in September.
If you wish to enroll in any of these sessions, please complete the application on this link.
We hope to see you in future circles!
