In Short
Haiku has captured my imagination.
I was alerted the other day to an NPR website featuring an article on the practice of writing your autobiography using only six words.
An article I read this morning spoke to me. Throughout the day, it said, women all over the world, tend to move those things that nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits from the top of our daily things-to-do list to a lower and then even lower, and finally, the lowest place, so that by the end of the day, most everything has gotten done, except those items that would have added to our personal well being.
I began making a list this morning of activities that lift my spirit.
I had dinner last night with a dear friend whom I’ve known since childhood. As we waited for a table, we fell to figuring out when we had last seen each other. To our dismay, we concluded that it been about year. Worse yet, neither of us could figure out why.
Good morning, all,
It’s not even 8 o’clock, and I’ve already received two pieces of good news. It’s going to be a great day today for sure!
