Letting Go
I have too many clothes.
The sun is not yet up but there is light enough to make out the forms of the trees in my backyard.
I’m thinking this morning about the difference I made yesterday with my little harp and voice in the home of an elderly lady.
A blizzard is predicted by noon in these parts, but on my mind this morning is happiness—not that now-I-feel-it; now-I-don’t variety, but rather, an unshakable feeling of gratitude for whatever comes my way.
I surprised a group of three people yesterday by a rather simple act of kindness. What was the most fun was that what I did was totally unexpected on all of our parts.
Reflecting on the nature of happiness this morning, this curious quote, attributed to Abd Er-Rahman III of Spain caught my eye—
