Decisions

It’s not going to be easy being me today, but then, it has not been easy being me for the past few weeks when I have had to make a number of tough decisions for a loved one who, long ago, trusted me to do this for him. I ready myself by breathing as I hold the thought, “I am,” with every inbreath and, “at peace” with every outbreath. 

It is true—through the great sadness I feel, I really am at peace.
