Half Full or Half Empty?
I was asked recently to list 50 things I’d never do. That initially seemed easy—I will never bungee jump. Up there as well is that I will never fly a plane, even though my husband is a career pilot. Nor will I run for government office. It’s also very unlikely that I will play baseball, football, and soccer, even though my two grandsons are hoping to take all of those up.
I hadn’t gotten much further on my list when my thoughts took a 180 degree turn. Call me a cock-eyed optimist, but the truth is, far more interesting to me is creating a list of 50 things I’d really love to do.
“Knowledge of what is possible is the beginning of happiness.” –George Santanyana
“The amount of happiness that you have depends on the amount of freedom you have in your heart.” –Thich Nhat Hanh
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” –Henry David Thoreau

Yes it is more fun to see dream of 50 things I would love to do. Sounds like a great assignment for a vision board. Those board are awesome to create and even more fun when it all comes true. Happened to me one time. You inspired me to do it again. Thanks Edie!
