Living A Blessed Life
Our 8th annual graduation just around the corner, I’ve been ruminating over these most extraordinary past nine years, recalling my first meetings with those at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton who believed in the dream of Bedside Harp, with the first eight instructional students who came in Saturday mornings to learn how to play the harp, with the five tender hearts who answered the call to do this most sacred work and began working toward certification. Most of all, I am remembering the hundreds of souls I’ve been so very privileged to meet, collaborate and work with, teach, play for, serve.
I am indeed, living a blessed life.
“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” –Albert Schweitzer
“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.” –Buddha
“Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality.” –Alfred Painter
