Looking Both Ways
It’s June—we’re half-way through 2011. It’s been a mixed bag for me—the illness of a dear friend and the death of my uncle on the one hand; my daughter’s engagement, a retreat and pilgrimage for me on the other. Before taking my first steps into the next half of this year, I take a moment to give thanks for all I’ve been given and to strengthen my resolve to make a difference.
“Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you’re alive, it isn’t.” –Richard Bach
“Life’s not always fair. Sometimes you can get a splinter even sliding down a rainbow.” –Terri Guillemets
“Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.” –Grandma Moses
Enjoy your day!

Edie, you do live with a grateful heart. May you continue to be open to all that life offers you. Blessings, Jane
