What’s Missing?
Another evening of lively discussion on coming home to yourself. One of this group of interesting women shared that entering her home filled with things she dearly loves is what coming home means her. Made me think about how I feel when I walk through the door of my physical home. First things I see are my piano, my books, my music, a photo of my mother at 9 months old and her parents. All of this pleases me greatly. What more would I want? Flowers. I will buy myself a bouquet today and set it in a vase near my front door.
“When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other.” –Chinese Proverb
“Bread feeds the body, indeed, but flowers feed also the soul.” –The Koran
“Can we conceive what humanity would be if it did not know the flowers?” –Maurice Maeterlinck
Enjoy your day!
