When Bad Things Happen
I can tell when I’m stressed, and there’s no doubt about it, I am stressed. It’s not over the holidays, nor is it connected with my final push to finish the (Almost) Everything text—it’s about the recent health challenges two of my close family members are facing and about my not being able to make things all better for them. Even if harshly, I am reminded that breathing in and breathing out is what I most need to do—both for them and for myself.
“I do believe that when we face challenges in life that are far beyond our own power, it’s an opportunity to build on our faith, inner strength and courage. I’ve learned that how we face challenges plays a big role in the outcome of them.”—Sasha Azevedo
“Letting go doesn’t mean giving up, but rather, accepting that there are things that cannot be fixed by you.” –Anonymous
“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure. —Oprah Winfrey
