Harps in the Hospital
Nov. 2009. Female patient lying in bed, awake and alert. Visitor (husband) sat next to her. I was urged into the room by both. The two of them were very, very thrilled and enthralled with the idea of the harp and the music being played. They thanked me as I left and I could hear, as I walked out, the comments they were making to each other about how very wonderful it was to have live music (“and a harp no less!”) in the hospital.
